If you will observe minutely then you will observe that this glacier resembles with the face of cow and that’s why its name is ‘Gaumukh Glacier’. It is the second largest glacier of India.

Kedartal: You can reach to this difficult place after travelling to a difficult trek of 14 kms which starts from Gangotri. Here you will find out the crystal clear icy cold water.

Gangnani: It is located 4 kms from Uttarkashi. This place is very much famous for its natural thermal springs. Before going to Gangotri, people take a dip in this natural hot water.

Harsil: This place is said to be a hidden jewels of Uttarakhand. It is a beautiful place and it offers an ample scope for nature as well as adventure lovers.

New Tehri: It is one of the planned town of Uttarakhand state. Thousands of tourists visit this place in order to see the stagnant water of the massive Tehri dam.
